About Us

Our vision

Our dream is to live in a society in which children and families receive the kind of assistance they need to effectively build on their assets and realise their aspirations in life.

Our mission

Our purpose is to improve the mental health experiences of children, adolescents, and their families. We achieve this by:

  • Conducting research to increase knowledge of mental health and resilience, as well as evaluating and enhancing the treatments and services delivered to children and families.
  • Developing novel ideas, tools, and services to assist distressed children, adolescents, and families.
  • Improving global mental health through educating and training a new generation of professionals and researchers in the most up-to-date skills and methods.
  • Taking the lead in the creation of policy and practise in the United Kingdom and internationally to ensuring that it is based on science, tested experience, and the involvement of children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Collaborating nationally and globally in collaborations that create a step shift in the mental health and well-being of children.

Our principles

Our work is governed by three guiding principles:

  • Children, youth, and families are central to all we do.
  • We are devoted to developing and disseminating the most effective means of assisting children, adolescents, families, caregivers, and professionals with mental health issues.
  • To expand our influence via collaboration and partnership.
